So now you don't have to push your way through Time Square to get to their brick and mortar location at Bryant Park. Browse their most recent collection online. I am especially coveting the sparkly cardigans and matching mini-skirts.

Bollywood Fashion

As Bollywood fashion goes, so goes South Asian fashion. For the past decade, the designers of the largest film industry in the world have been shaping the fashion of Indian and Pakistani clothing. Recently, Bollywood fashion is transcending and making a major impact on Western style as well. Things weren’t always this way. Let’s learn more about the cultural phenomenon that is known as Bollywood.
Until the late 1980s, Hindi films demonstrated limited sense of style. Clothing was either everyman clothing or way over the top garish. Bollywood designers came to the limelight ever since Manish Malhotra did those catchy numbers for Urmila Matondkar in Rangeela. It was all upwards from there. Bollywood fashion became a force to be reckoned with. When Sushmita Sen appeared in flowing saris in a recent hit, this traditional dress got a big boost into urban style. Shamita Shetty made the sharara a hit with aptly titled “Sharara Sharara”. Finally, Priyanka Chopra made the red dupatta (stole) synonymous with Bollywood fashion.
Hindi films may have inspired Indian style over the last two decades, but the fascinating phenomenon is the transcendence of Bollywood fashion to the West. The recent tunic top craze is one example. Everyone from tween to grandmother is dying to get one. The recent bohemian or ethnic clothing wave is driven by Indian, and hence Bollywood fashion. Most of all, there seems to be no end in sight. TIME, MSN, and even Bella Online are unified in their praise of the hot ethnic trend. The comfort, elegance, and especially the versatility of Indian clothing are not lost to the western public. For instance, various kurtas (tunic tops) can be worn to the beach, a tea party, the mall, or even a grand formal!
Where should you look for hip Bollywood fashion? A local Indian boutique is not a bad start. Another good place is the web. Plenty of sites such as Benzer and Seasons offer good choices. The latest kid on the block is our own Zarmina.com. We offer silk embroidered high quality wears not available anywhere else. What sets us apart is the creation of designer haute couture that is delivered to your doorstep.

Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary takes it to the runway

Style Diva Naseeba Sacranie, known to the UK’s Asian Fashion industry as the queen of catwalks and style, conquers Dubai Fashion Week A/W09 to get her fashion fix and uncover all the latest style candy that a lady can get!
STUDIO 8 made a huge impact with its debut show at Dubai Fashion Week. The highly-anticipated show attracted the crème de la crème of VIPs and fashionistas from Dubai and India, and did not disappoint the star-studded audience.

To open Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhary took to the stage in a Pria Kataaria Puri gold net floor-length gown, which was met by rapturous applause. Puri’s collection palette was gold with ivory and cream splashes.

The opulent theme continued as Chitra Amarnani showcased her Sweety range. Heavily embellished abayas with crystals, stones, beads and pearls featured on the front and back.

Aiisha Ramadan kept things fun and floaty with her bright collection of floor-sweeping gowns. Waistbands were clinched in and there was a romantic feel to the dresses that had embellished details on the back and fabric flowers.

It was ruffles, long trains, prints and heavily decorated outfits for HSY. The collection of lengha’s were heavily beaded and there was a ornate feel to his range. Pakistani supermodel Mehreen Syed was his show stopper

But it was definitely Manish Malhotra who stole the show. Opening his collection by walking down the catwalk himself in a black velvet jacket with splashes of bronze gold, the popular Indian designer set the tone for the rest of his range. Things were funky, young, sexy and sporty.
The colour palette was limited to bronze-gold and black, and sheer nets were teamed with funky sneakers. The sporty feel of the collection was reflected in the prominence of the hoodies, while backs of tops were either cut-out or sheer. The show-stopper was Tusshar Kapoor who had specially flown in from Mumbai.

Pretty feminine Korean fashion wear

My impression of Korean ladies based on my visits to that country some years back is they are very well dressed.  In fact, I thought they were rather formal in their dressing.  The office ladies whom I interacted in the past wore suits mainly, though most of them seem to like showing off their legs quite a bit.   However, based on what I’ve seen from the media these few years, this seems to be changing.  Korean fashion wear is looking more feminine, using details like laces, ruffles, bows with cuttings that emphasize the body shape

Yun Eun Hye for Korean fashion house Joinus

Those interested in Korean fashion may find some inspiration for sophisticated corporate wear through these apparel from Joinus modeled by Yun Eun Hye of the K-drama hit Coffee Prince.
The Koreans seem to favor contrast, which is achieved mainly through dark colors llike black, navy blue and red or silver metalics combined with colorful abstract geometric prints.  They look good on Yun Eun Hye here but some of the designs are kind of dated to me.  Remind me of the clothes from OG!
But I certainly love their shoes!  Check out the pink one on the left bottom.  Chic!  And of course it helps that Yun Eun Hye has sexy legs to boot.

I saw a girl walking on the street yesterday in the cutest pair of black and white tie dye leggings. I like the edginess of black and white tie dye and it doesn't feel like such a 70's throw back.

Shown: Proenza Schouler Dress; Vince Smudge-Print Tee $125 Bergdorf Goodman, Denim-Rock skirt $76 French Connection, Tory Burch Tie Dye Scarf $95.
